I got through these days with busyness for dance practicing of my ‘Seni Lari Rakyak’ course as well as preparing for final exam of Psycholinguist.

At the beginning, I even don’t know how to prepare it because of there are so many chapters in this course. And most of them are not easy for comprehending. While, during some days of recalling, I found there are many knowledge points are same as the Linguistic course we studied in last semester. They can be said similar just with the difference of psychological part. Psycholinguistic mostly focus on the psychological activity and process of people when they learning a kind of language.

And even between two chapters, it can be very closed and have many relations. Actually, I’m interest in psychology. While, the problem is the date for examination is near by. I don’t have enough time for deep understanding each knowledge point, nothing but instead it with remembering.

During practices of this week, I found that among the four parts of MUET, I’m weak in writing and speaking. In the second part of writing, there are 50min for complete an essay with more than 250 words. And I cannot balance the time well enough. I always spend too much time on planning the overall structure and content. It’s an essential part of all the procedures of writing. While I spent lots of time on this part and made the time of others pressing. I should expedite the thinking and actual writing process.

This semester we join the MUET examination. Before that, I consider MUET is just as simple as the 4-level English Test in China. While, now I think the speaking-part is really challenging, especially the discussion part. Beside vocabulary, it demands lots of thinking skill inside: the way how you solve a problem, how to expand the points to support your ideas and so on. The logic thinking is very essential and that just is my most defective place. I always lose my ideas on what I should support and how to strength them. When I woke up, I found I have already far away from my main point. Beside that is my grammar. I t always have some obvious mistakes of grammar using. The primary reason should due to me: To English speaking, I didn’t persist.

I need more practices on that I think.

 

 

 

week reflection 2

20^th March is the day I presentation the Micro- teaching for Curriculum course. I spent nearly a whole week to prepare for that. Any topic can be chosen for teaching and my chosen topic is ‘Word Stress’. Because I consider that, to English, I’m good at the part of pronunciation. It’s my first time to write a really lesson plan like a teacher. For that, I collected lots of information about ‘how to write a lesson plan’ or ‘some wrong ways of writing lesson plan’. It’s really helpful for me to make a comprehension about lesson plan: the form, the pattern and how to connect your topic with your main subject of the lesson together, something like that. Whatever, now I recalling my micro-teaching presentation that day, I even can find lots disadvantage. At the beginning, I was really exposed to a little nervous. In fact, that’s because of the computer that my pen-drive cannot open and display on it! And that really drive me crazy. Then, the second is my teaching style, too much teacher-center I think. I almost spent all the time on teaching and lecturing but not the interacting with students. That maybe is the most essential problem. I didn’t balance the time well enough. However, that’s an experience to me. I see lots of my disadvantages on teaching. While, on the other side, it’s my first time, that’s mean I have the second the third time to make it better. Finally, I see that as a teacher is not a simple job~

week reflection 1

Our group discussed the topic of “Teaching with method of infusion” on Sunday of the passing week. All of us consider that the definition of infusion is easy comprehended. While, the topic, I mean that choose a proper and interesting one which can reflect the infusion way in teaching is not simple. We have considered a lot of topics, like poetry, grammar, even the difference between Chinese and German! Hehe.. Well, finally, we choose the topic of music, exactly, is the type of the music. And after finishing the decision, we tried to search all the information about definition of each type of music online. Download the songs for introduce and development. The task of writing lesson plan and power point is due to my roommate and me. We put every suggestion of the strategies should be used on each page for reflecting our thinking process. Actually, after our discussion the day has already late and raining. We finished our task about 1am finally. Whatever, the presentation next day was appreciated by our Dr!
